YOUNG JORDAN SMALL BIO

My name is Alan Jordan, stage name Young Jordan in which I will be changing my name to YJ The Ghost because I recently found out there is already an established artist that also goes by Young Jordan. (Fun fact).

I’m from upstate New York. I was born in Oneonta NY but I grew up in a small town called Wingdale, New York. I was raised between both places.

Hip hop was introduced to me at a young age via 2Pac, Wu Tang, NWA, Nas, Jay Z, Eminem, 50 cent and so many others. and I fell in love with the art, the culture, the lyrics, the rhythms and the craft.

I started writing my own rhymes at around 9 years of age. They weren’t that good at all but i kept going with it.

I also got wrapped up in the streets, you know , the usual stuff, dealing, stealing fighting among other things. I ended up being locked up many times in my life.

And at some point, I decided that that life isn’t for me and went back to music. Music has saved my life in a way. Because if I didn’t have hip hop, I could easily be dead or in prison.

I decided to change my life and use my music to help other change there’s using my experiences.

Yes I still have some street anthems and just playful songs but majority of my catalog is helpful songs. In hopes of one day to help someone through the same challenges that I’ve been through.

I use my music as a platform to build a foundation for the future. I illustrate my journey through your headphones. And to bring real hip hop back. The lyrical form. The messages and content form.

My name is YJ The Ghost. Formerly Young Jordan, And this is my life, my pain, and my music!!
